The Commission has finalised its approach to the Spring travel trade licensing round for travel agents and tour operators whose licenses expire on the 30 April 2011.

The Commission has initiated a consultation period with all interested parties on how it should proceed to determine the next price cap for air traffic control terminal charges at Dublin, Shannon and Cork Airports that will commence in 2012. The Issues Paper commences a process of engagement with parties that will ultimately conclude with the making of a new determination in 2011.

Commission commences consulations on regulatory tills and regulatory accounts

The Commission has published two consultation papers. The first commences a consultation on the possibility of switching from single to dual till in the context of its regulation of airport charges at Dublin Airport. The second initiates a consulation on anual regulatory reporting requirements for the parts of the businesses of the DAA and the IAA that are subject to price cap regulation.

Commission Note issued on Spring 2011 Licensing Round

The Commission has proposed some changes to the Spring licensing round which will affect those travel agents and tour operator whose licenses expire on the 30 April 2011. All comments are welcomed and should be submitted by 4pm on the 16 December 2010.

Commission for Aviation Regulation publishes further "Quality of Service" results for Dublin Airport and the half-yearly report "Air Passenger Rights"

The Commission for Aviation Regulation (CAR) today published the second set of results from the "Quality of Service" monitoring scheme at Dublin Airport. The results relate to the period June - September 2010. The CAR also published its "Air Passenger Rights" report for the first 6 months of the year.
